Mark “Mr. Idea” Bullock, has engineered his life by establishing God as the cornerstone. The many innovations and businesses that he continues to create come from focusing on fulfilling his life’s purpose. Being a husband and father of six daughters is his most successful venture. The moniker “Mr. Idea” was jokingly given by family members. The truth of the joke lies in Mark’s innate ability to find ways to add structure to others’ ideas so that they can become reality.
Mark Bullock has a diverse background that blends engineering, business, and finance. He earned an A.S. in Electronics Engineering, a B.S. in Business Management, and an MBA from DeVry University. Always looking to expand his knowledge, he also completed a certificate in Financial Markets from Yale University and a graduate certificate in Project Management. On top of that, he's a certified Firefighter 1 and Firefighter 2.
At age 18, Mark Bullock became the youngest facility technician in the Verizon company’s history. For six years, Mark was a top-performing Technician but a childhood dream to become a firefighter forced a major life decision. He chose to put his engineering career on hold while working in public service. As a Firefighter, Mark spent 12 years as an asset to fellow Firefighters and the public at large. During his career, Mark has received various Life-Saving Awards and Community Honors.
When others sought downtime, “Mr. Idea” was working on inventions. Mark received his first patent, a 23-year Utility Patent for a multiple exercise medicine ball called the “Fire Ball.” The task of successfully getting his invention to actuality has taken an extreme amount of investment. Mark pulls the inspiration and support of his ideas from three places, God, family, and a toolbox full of experience.
Mark Bullock has recently decided to leave the Fire Department to work full time on engineering the next chapter of his life and the many business endeavors he started while working as a firefighter.
