2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV) says "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

World Aids Day is the first ever global health day, established in 1988. 

Its purpose is to: 
. Raise awareness about HIV and AIDS;
. Honor and remember those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses;
. Support people currently living with HIV;
. Encourage global education, prevention, research; and,
. Fight Stigma and discrimination.

Today, I honored the life of my sibling Neil.  A life that will never be forgotten. He was more than the struggles he faced. He was a person of dignity, strength, laughter, and he had a kind heart. My brother walked through a journey that we may never fully understand, yet even in the most difficult time of his life, he showed us courage that inspired us all.  My Family and I will always remember his smile, his voice, and his kindness shared throughout his life.

Thank you, Neil, for giving me your ideal of “Heaven In View, Inc.” ministry to help others struggling with H.I.V. illnesses.  We stand for hope that one day, no family will lose a loved one to this disease.
