KEEPING GOD FIRST IN "EVERYTHING" IS OUR KEY TO OUR LONGEVITY IN MARRIAGE!
Is our marriage perfect? NO! Far from it! BUT.....keeping God first in everything within a marriage creates a strong and lasting foundation built on love, faith, wisdom and unity.
Keeping God at the Center of our marriage has been one of the greatest blessings of our lives. Through every season, He has been our foundation—teaching us to lean on His love, trust His wisdom, and stay united even when life stretched us in unexpected ways. As we sought His guidance in our family, finances, ministry, and personal growth, we saw Him faithfully shape our marriage with purpose and grace.
How God Has Shaped Our Journey - From the very beginning, we believed that if we truly put God first, our marriage would become more than just a relationship—it would become part of His greater plan for our lives. Looking back, we can see how He has grown us individually and as a couple. He has stretched our hearts, deepened our faith, and given us a greater love not only for one another, but also for our family, our church, our community, and the work He has called us to do.
Different in Many Ways, United in Purpose - Like many couples, we have discovered that we are different in a lot of ways. We do not always enjoy the same movies, foods, ice cream, or old music, and over the years we have had our share of disagreements and growing pains. But through it all, one thing has remained constant: the love of God in our hearts and a shared desire to serve others. That common love for God, for ministry, and for His Word has always brought us back together and reminded us of the purpose we share.
What Putting God First Has Taught Us - Over the years, putting God first has taught us lessons that have shaped our marriage in deep and lasting ways. He has taught us how to humble ourselves, how to be patient with one another, how to forgive quickly, and how to keep supporting each other through both joyful seasons and hard ones. As we prayed together, spent time in His presence, and stayed grounded in His Word, our relationship became stronger, deeper, and more meaningful. Even now, we are still learning, still growing, and still seeing God strengthen our bond day by day.
A Word of Encouragement - As we have shared these 46 Marriage Life Keys with you and your spouse, it comes from a place of gratitude for all that God has done in our own marriage. We have seen His faithfulness in times of joy, in seasons of challenge, and in moments when we needed His strength the most. Our prayer is that as you read and go through these Life Keys, you both will be encouraged to keep God at the center of your own marriage and trust Him to carry you through every hardship, every change, and every new season with love, grace, and unwavering commitment.
"Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass." (Psalm 37:5 - NKJV)
"KEEP GOD FIRST IN EVERYTHING AND LET HIM
LEAD YOUR MARRIAGE EVERY STEP OF THE WAY."
Respectfully,
